Operations Manager

Wilson Project Group is a growing construction business delivering high-quality projects across Albury, Wodonga and surrounding regions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Daily Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the smooth running of daily operations across multiple construction projects. You will be the key link between management, site staff, suppliers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations across active construction projects

• Coordinate and oversee site staff, subcontractors, and trades

• Order materials and manage stock levels to ensure projects run efficiently

• Program works, monitor timelines, and manage project budgets

• Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and compliance

• Liaise with suppliers, consultants, and clients

• Resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively

• Ensure WHS standards and company procedures are maintained

• Provide regular progress updates to management

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Site Manager, or Operations Manager in construction

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities

• Sound knowledge of construction processes, materials, and scheduling

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and a proactive attitude

• White Card required (other relevant tickets highly regarded)

• Current driver’s licence

1st to 4th Year Carpentry Apprenticeship

Wilson Project Group is looking for a motivated and reliable 1st to 4th Year Carpentry Apprentice to join our expanding construction team. This is a great opportunity to build your skills, gain hands-on experience, and work across a variety of residential and commercial projects.

 

About the Role

As an apprentice carpenter, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople and be involved in

  • Framing, fix-outs, fit-offs, and general carpentry tasks

  • Demolition works

  • Renovations and commercial construction

  • Reading plans, using tools and equipment safely

  • Learning all aspects of the carpentry trade

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

  • Exposure to all aspects of building including plastering, tiling & concreting

 

What you’ll need to bring

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from mentors

  • A genuine interest in building and construction

  • Driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred)

  • White Card (required)

  • Ability and willingness to work away from home when required

  • Compliant work boots
